Where are Appartamenti Bioula?

At Regione Bioula 19/A, 11100 Aosta, on the northern hill above the town at about 750 m above sea level. The house has panoramic views over Aosta and the Alps, in a quiet, sunny spot a few minutes from the centre. Map and directions.

How far is it from the Pila cable car and Aosta town centre?

The Aosta-Pila cable car is about 5 minutes by car, Aosta old town 5-6 minutes. The railway station is about 6 minutes away and the A5 Aosta Est toll gate about 5 minutes.

How do I get there by car?

From the A5 motorway take the Aosta Est exit and follow the SS26 main road towards the centre, then drive up the northern hill. Can I get there without a car?

Yes, by train: Aosta station is about 6 minutes by car from the house and can be reached by taxi. To get around the valley and reach the slopes, though, a car is by far the most convenient option.

Which is the nearest airport?

Turin Caselle (about 115 km), then Geneva (about 140 km, via the Mont Blanc or Great St Bernard tunnel) and Milan Malpensa (about 180 km).

Apartments and amenities

How many apartments are there?

Two, in the same villa: the Family Apartment, a 70 m² four-room apartment for 4-6 people with a panoramic terrace, and the Attic Apartment, a 40 m² three-room apartment for 2-4 people with a balcony, which is currently not available for rent.

How many people can the Family Apartment sleep?

From 4 to 6 people: a double bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, a bedroom with 2 single beds or 1 double bed and a double sofa bed in the living room.

How is the kitchen equipped?

The Family Apartment has a separate, fully equipped kitchen: gas hob, fan oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and kitchen utensils.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Is there parking? Is it free?

Yes. There is a large free private car park, with a covered space right next to the house.

Is there a washing machine?

Yes, in the bathroom of the Family Apartment. An iron, ironing board and clothes drying rack are also available.

Are sheets and towels included?

They are available to rent, 10 € per person.

Are heating and utilities included?

Yes. In the Family Apartment heating (underfloor), water, gas and electricity are included in the price.

Is there outdoor space?

Yes: the Family Apartment has a panoramic terrace with an outdoor dining area, the Attic Apartment a balcony with a deckchair. The garden has a barbecue.

Prices, booking and payment

How much does the Family Apartment cost?

Prices are per day for 4 people and vary with the time of year. Heating, water, gas and electricity are included. There is a supplement for each guest beyond the fourth. Up-to-date prices for the season: Family Apartment price table.

Are there discounts for longer stays?

Yes, discounted rates depending on the length of your stay. Send us your dates for a quote.

What is the minimum stay?

In high season stays run from Saturday to Saturday. In low season you can book from 3 nights, at a price to be agreed.

How do I book and pay?

Write or call us to check availability, then confirm by email and a deposit by bank transfer. The balance is paid at the start of your stay. Contact us.

Can I book on Booking.com, Airbnb or Vrbo?

Yes, Casa Bioula is also on Booking.com, Airbnb and Vrbo. Booking directly, you talk straight to the owners.

How much is the tourist tax?

0.75 € per person per night from 1 May to 15 June and from 1 October to 30 November; 1.50 € per person per night from 16 June to 30 September and from 1 December to 30 April. It is charged for a maximum of 7 nights and children under 15 are exempt.

Are there periods when the apartment is not available?

Yes: periods not listed in the price table are not available.

Arrival and departure

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in on Saturday from 4 to 6 pm, check-out on Saturday from 8 to 10 am, unless otherwise agreed with the owners.

Who welcomes us on arrival?

The owners, Ivana and Remo, who live on the ground floor of the same villa. They are around for your whole stay, happy to help with information and tips on the Aosta Valley.

Which languages do the owners speak?

Italian and French. You are welcome to write in English: many foreign guests have stayed with us.

Pets, children and house rules

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome on request, with a supplement of 20 € per stay.

Is there anything for children?

Yes, travel cots for little ones are available on request.

Can I smoke in the apartments?

No, the apartments are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed outside and on the terrace.

Skiing, day trips and the area

Is it a good base for skiing at Pila?

Yes: the Aosta-Pila cable car is about 5 minutes by car and ski storage is included at no extra cost.

What can I visit on a day trip?

From Casa Bioula you can reach the Pré-Saint-Didier thermal spa (35 min), Courmayeur and Mont Blanc (40 min), Cogne and Gran Paradiso National Park (45 min), La Thuile (50 min) and Breuil-Cervinia (about 1 hour). All distances.
